What counts as a query? One natural-language request to the AI agent — a question about your data, a generated report, an AI-assisted invoice or proforma draft, or a RAG search. Long-running multi-step workflows may consume several credits. We only bill on successful completions.

Why is the Free plan only for Burundi?
The Free plan is anchored on real-time tax declaration to OBR (Burundi's tax authority) — that's the wedge. We'll launch equivalent Free plans in Bénin once we integrate with the DGI e-taxes platform, and in Kenya once we integrate with KRA eTIMS. Until then, customers in Bénin and Kenya start at the Starter plan with a 14-day free trial.
What's the difference between the verticals?
Each vertical bundles the right tools for one type of business. ASER Services is built for businesses that don't carry inventory. ASER Retail adds full multi-store stock. ASER Restaurant adds tables, recipes and kitchen routing on top of stock. ASER Hotel adds rooms, housekeeping and bundles all the Restaurant features on top. Pick by your business type, not by feature checklist.
Can I switch plans, or even verticals, later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan any month — billing prorates automatically. Switching verticals (e.g. a café opening rooms and becoming a guest house) is also supported with a guided migration; talk to sales when you're ready and we'll move your data over.
How does AI billing actually work?
Business plans include 100 queries/month, Enterprise includes 500. When you use the included allowance, you can buy a credit pack — credits never expire and stack on top of next month's allowance. Starter customers can also buy credit packs without upgrading. We only bill on successful completions, so failed or cancelled queries don't count.
What about ASER Dispatch — when can I sign up?
ASER Dispatch is currently delivered as a custom, per-client engagement — scoped, priced and deployed per project, hosted or on-premise. Self-serve plans and published pricing are coming after we finish migrating the codebase from Ruby on Rails to our new aser-manager backend. In the meantime, if you need face-scan + GPS attendance today, any vertical's Business plan includes time & attendance with geofencing.
How do I pay?
M-Pesa, MTN MoMo, Vodacom MoMo, bank transfer or card. Quarterly billing saves 10%, annual saves 20%. Custom plans are quoted per engagement and invoiced monthly or annually depending on your finance team's preference.
Do you offer on-premise deployment?
Yes — on-premise deployment is part of the Custom plan. We install the same ASER stack on your infrastructure, configure backups, and provide an SLA with a guaranteed response time. This is the right fit if you have data residency requirements or if your operations need to keep working offline of the public internet for long stretches.
