Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ASER Technologies handles personal data in connection with Aser One. It supplements our Terms & Conditions. By using the service, you acknowledge that you have read it.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is ASER Technologies, UMUCO Coworking Space, Avenue des États-Unis No. 76, Kigobe-Sud, Ntahangwa, Bujumbura, Burundi. Contact: info@aser-tech.com.

2. Our roles

For your account and service-usage data, ASER acts as a data controller. For the Customer Content you enter (data about your own customers, employees, suppliers), you are the controller and ASER acts as a processor, on your behalf and on your instructions.

3. Data we collect

• Account data: name, business name, email, phone, role, credentials.
• Customer Content: data you enter (customers, invoices, stock, accounting, HR, etc.).
• Payment data: information needed to bill your subscription (processed via payment providers; we do not store full card numbers).
• Technical & usage data: logs, IP address, device type, pages viewed, actions taken, for security and improvement.

4. How we use it

• Provide, maintain and secure the service.
• Manage your account, subscription and billing.
• Provide support and communicate with you.
• Improve and develop our features.
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.

5. Legal bases

Depending on the case: performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interest (security, improvement, abuse prevention) and, where required, your consent.

6. Data & artificial intelligence

Some features rely on AI and may process your content to produce a result (summary, drafting, duplicate detection, etc.). AI processing is described in our AI Terms. We do not use your Customer Content to train third-party public AI models without your consent.

7. Sharing & subprocessors

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

• Technical providers (hosting, backup, messaging, payment, AI model providers) acting on our behalf and bound by confidentiality.
• Third-party services you enable (mobile money, tax platforms such as OBR/EBMS, messaging), to the extent needed for the requested feature.
• Authorities, where required by law.

8. International transfers

Your data may be hosted or processed outside your country (for example with hosting providers). We take reasonable steps to protect it in line with this policy.

9. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, then for as long as needed to meet our legal and accounting obligations. After termination, your Customer Content remains exportable for at least 30 days before possible deletion.

10. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures (access control, encryption in transit, backups). As no system is entirely foolproof, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your credentials.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Send your request to info@aser-tech.com. For Customer Content you control, data-subject requests should be directed to you first; we assist you as a processor.

12. Your customers' data

When you enter into Aser One data about your own customers, employees or suppliers, you warrant that you have the necessary legal bases and permissions, and you undertake to inform them as required by law. ASER processes such data only to provide the service.

13. Cookies

Our sites and apps use cookies and similar technologies needed to operate (session, security) and, where applicable, for analytics. You can set your browser to limit them; some features may then be degraded.

14. Children

Aser One is a professional tool for businesses and is not intended for minors. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

15. Changes

We may update this policy. For material changes, we will notify you by a reasonable means. The date at the top of the page indicates the latest revision.
